Rights holders could solve this problem by making their content accessible at reasonable prices. Instead they insist on exclusive deals with individual streaming services that, in aggregate, make their content prohibitively expensive to many fans. Some, like the NFL, even go so far as to parcel out individual games to multiple providers on an exclusive basis, exacerbating the problem for fans. Courts should consider this before allowing themselves to become tools for this extractive business model.
