Ask HN: What is a great open-source visual email builder?

I'm looking for something which I can embed in my site and have customers build beautiful emails. Kind of like the MailChimp email builder but open source.

I have tried Puck which is awesome, but is more of a website builder. I've also played around with Unlayer, though it gets quite pricey. Anything else out there?

I realise it's the opposite of what you are asking, but I still wanted to take the opportunity to mention that there are many advantages with plaintext emails: https://useplaintext.email.

It's okay to allow those who want to use beautiful (I assume it means HTML) emails, but you should always include a plaintext version (it's easy) for those who don't want to/can't read HTML emails.
